Skywatch - Joy Comes in the Morning

TGIF! That means the weekend is hours away! I think LS is glad too for the weekend. Something about working too hard. But I think it's just her post holiday blues.

It has been a while since we last joined in Skywatch Friday. While LS was sorting through her files the other day, she came across some pictures she took some time back.

These pictures were taken on an early morning from two different sides. It's amazing that one same sky shows different beautiful sights.

This picture shows the reflection of the sunrise from the opposite side

This picture was taken just few feet away from the first picture. Can you see how the sky parts in the center? Or rather, it was the clouds parting.

LS said she loves the second picture. Hope you are not bored by her raving and ranting over these pictures. She tends to get carried away at times.

To think that if I didn't wake her up early, she would've missed it. Well, don't you think she has me to thank for?

If you enjoy skywatching, do hop over to check out more lovely pictures at Skywatch Friday.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Thankful Thursday

LS:

I've missed a few thankful posts so far. But I'm thankful for the time to do one this week.

Recently on a wet and gloomy early morning, I saw a rainbow from my kitchen window. It wasn't a perfectly arched rainbow, just a fragment that disappeared into the dark rain clouds. But it'll do. It's enough to lift up my spirits. Amidst the current gloominess. I'm thankful for the rainbow.

I took this picture minutes later. The sky brightened somewhat. The rainbow was still there.

Life has not been exactly normal around here lately. Or perhaps I'm the one not being normal. That's a thought. LOL.

This sight couldn't have appeared at a better time. It's such a great reminder and comfort to me. Life can be dark and gloomy at times, but not for always. Just like the dark and gloomy clouds, they always clear and make way for the blue skies.

The rainbow? Although not always a complete and perfect arch, but always a spectrum of vibrant colours. That should be us, isn't it? It's not easy but I'm still learning.

Happy:

I'm thankful for an unexpected visitor. The doggie. I know...I know... I've been grumbling about him and haven't exactly been on my best behaviour when he was around.

Truth be told, I liked having him around. When the doggie was hanging around outside our door, I kept sniffing under the door. At times I sniffed so hard that LS said I snorted like a pig. Hee...

Although he's gone to live in his new home, I still run to the door to sniff...I guess I miss him.

LS said we should be thankful and humbled by this doggie's visit. LS said although she understands how tough a rescuer's work is, she didn't truly feel it till she experienced it. She said it was a humbling experience. Something to be thankful for.

Hope everyone is having a thankful time. What are you thankful for?

Skywatch - When The Sun Sets In

This is our first time participating in Skywatch Friday. We've seen it going around and have always wanted to join in but never really get around to doing it till now.

Plus, we remembered and were inspired by Butchy & Snicker's post on sunsets a while back, which had awesome pictures of sunsets!

Here are two pictures taken from our kitchen window a while ago. Both sunsets were taken just a few days apart. But see how different they are.

Sunsets are so beautiful, aren't they?

Have a great weekend everybody!
