Last weekend I was passing by a small fishing village in Kuala Selangor, when I decided to stop for a bite.
Ok, it was more than a bite considering all the seafood we ordered. Baked crabs, oyster omelette, deep fried calamari and grilled prawns. Boy, the servings were huge!
**Sorry, no pics as it was on impulse and I didn't lug along my camera**When the waiter came to serve us, he placed 3 glasses of water, 3 plates, 3 bowls and 3 sets of fork and spoon. I just gave it a passing thought at that time.
Did I mention that there were 2 humans and 1 dog?Somehow, between the 2 humans, we managed to clear the plates off every morsel. Do we deserve an applause? *clap clap clap*
So when it comes to settling the bill, that's when 'my passing thought' became an "item in the bill". I was actually billed for 3 DINERS instead of 2! Now that also explains the extra large servings.
Me : Why 3 pax?
Cashier : Eh, not 3 people?
Me : Does
SHE look like human?? (me pointing to Happy)
The cashier craned her neck to look over my table. 1 human and 1 dog looked back at her. Then she turned and gave me a sheepish smile. Cashier : Ok, me no charge 3, cancel 1.
Right, when we left the restaurant, I tossed my car keys to Happy. Ought to be her turn to drive since the cashier acknowledged her as a full paying diner!
