Skywatch - Joy Comes in the Morning

TGIF! That means the weekend is hours away! I think LS is glad too for the weekend. Something about working too hard. But I think it's just her post holiday blues.

It has been a while since we last joined in Skywatch Friday. While LS was sorting through her files the other day, she came across some pictures she took some time back.

These pictures were taken on an early morning from two different sides. It's amazing that one same sky shows different beautiful sights.

This picture shows the reflection of the sunrise from the opposite side

This picture was taken just few feet away from the first picture. Can you see how the sky parts in the center? Or rather, it was the clouds parting.

LS said she loves the second picture. Hope you are not bored by her raving and ranting over these pictures. She tends to get carried away at times.

To think that if I didn't wake her up early, she would've missed it. Well, don't you think she has me to thank for?

If you enjoy skywatching, do hop over to check out more lovely pictures at Skywatch Friday.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Land of Dullsville

It's been really dull around here lately. LS is busy with taxes. Luckily we dogs don't have to bother with taxes, do we?

Do you remember a while back I asked this doggie to bark like a man instead of whining at his mommy? He didn't quite take my suggestion and asked me to shut up instead, remember?

Well, he moved out recently.

I guess I missed him. Now there's no doggie to bark at, I mean, chat with around my block.

LS said I shouldn't have teased him so much while he was around.

I'm sorry already, little doggie...Can you come back?

This is me, looking really sorry...

Would you be convinced by this sorry look?
Yeah, me neither. I wouldn't buy it either.

I better start practising being nice to the next dog that'll move in.

No wait, I think I better start praying that there'll be a dog moving in along with the next neighbour. Would you help me to keep your paws crossed too?

What have you been up to lately? I miss visiting everyone this past week but LS said she's only free to help me next week.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend ahead!

Thankful Thursday

LS:

I've always love this cute little doggie as it aptly reminds me of Happy. That's really Happy at her best, teaching me about love. At a time when I had no faith and trust in love. Ok, of the human kind, to be precise. LOL!

Above all, I'm thankful for God's everlasting love. I am thankful that He sent Happy into my life to teach me about love. At a time when He knew that I would not take any lessons from the humans. Yes, it was that bad. LOL!

I'm thankful for the love and friendship shared by many in their unassuming ways.

Happy:

I am thankful too for the love and frienship shared by many of you in your unassuming ways. When I've started blogging, I found it really hard and I felt that I didn't belong. Believe me, at times I still feel out of place and different...somehow. But the friendship, kindness and love shown by many of you have made a world of difference. Along the way I discovered that amidst all the differences among us, we share a common bond called love. I am thankful for that.

What are you thankful for? Hope everyone is having a thankful time.

Thankful Thursday is hosted at Grace Alone.

A personal note of thanks:

These come from Denise who has been regularly sending such wonderful and uplifting mails.

Denise, if you are reading this, I would like to know how do you manage to find the time to do it LOL! Ok, seriously, I'm very thankful and truly appreciate your tireless effort and thoughtfulness!

Thank you Denise!

Addie and Lucie sent us and all our friends this lovely email:

"Hello DWB Friends! We wanted to brighten your day and share with you our Valentine's Day card. Pay It Forward

LS finally recharged her camera battery and finally I could open my present from Huskee & Hershey!

Guess what Huskee & Hershey gave me?

A cute squeaky mushroom and
a yummy chewy with cheese & ham fillings!

Oh boy, it's so hard to choose which one to start with first...

Thank you so much, Huskee & Hershey!

You two are the sweetest!

I love this squeaky mushroom!

So much so that I won't let LS touch it at all.

I keep it safe inside my den hehe...

In following Huskee & Hershey's pawprints, we are going to continue with this game. We think this is really a great game to play!

According to the simple rules:

"The exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and 'pay it forward' in their own way.

We are going to send something fun, inspiring or uplifting to the first *3 blog owners who post a comment on this entry. In turn you will then post about this on your blog, link to us, then send something to the first three people who sign up to play along through your blog.

There are no cost restraints, BUT don't go crazy! The little something you send can be something you made, bought, were given or found. No biggie, just a gift that will make the person smile. Maybe something unique from where you live? And, remember that kindness don't have to involve money; there are untold ways to help others every single day, everywhere you go - just look around."

*We won't impose on the first 3 to comment since you may have already played it, but on the first 3 who would like to play along. But if you have played it before but would still like to play, that would be really great!
Update : We'll be sending out a gift to Denise, Moco and Sparky soon.

L is for Lazy LS

Sorry we have not been around much lately. Thanks to LS (again). She was supposed to take just a couple of days off but ended up with a 10 days break. During this time, she has morphed into a sloth.

Recently the chinese here celebrated the Chinese New Year. Firecrackers and fireworks are pretty much synonyms with this celebration. Over here, fire crackers are supposedly to be banned though. Who were they kidding?

Look at me...

This is where I've been spending most of the nights during the celebration. All the explosion sound from the firecrackers were just too much for me. I've never been so glad when it's over.

Do you know if there's any doggie ear plugs for sale? LS said she hasn't seen one but I thought I'd better double check.

On another note, we've recently joined in the fun of Pay It Forward by Huskee and Hershey. I've just received a parcel from them. Thanks Huskee & Hershey! I can't wait to open it but LS said I have to wait till she recharges her camera battery. How long can that take? With LS, that can really be a long time. Sorry, Huskee & Hershey. I'll do my best to morph her out of her sloth state soon.
