Christmas is a time

Just want to thank everyone for your wise counsel and comfort over the recent incident. I've spoken to the other neighbours and found out that they've been having issues with this man too. I was taken by surprise and really touched when they offered to come to my rescue should this man threaten me again (considering I don't know them well). Oh well, let's hope there's no repetition of the incident and this man realises his ways.

Don't think we'll be posting until after Christmas. Going to take the time to visit everyone and catch up.

Christmas is a time to love...

and be goofy too!

Hehehe...

Good thing this time around LS won't be dressing me up like a Christmas tree or putting me in a Rudolph outfit! Phew...

Here's wishing everyone

a Blessed Christmas

filled with love, joy & peace!

Peace on earth and good will to all!

Thankful Time

LS:

I'm behind in my thankful posting this week. I just wanted to say how thankful I am for:

God's comfort and protection

God's guidance and wisdom

A few days ago I was assaulted by my neighbour. Over a trivial parking lot issue. This man tends to park at others' parking lots. When I got home a few days ago, his car was at my lot. I went up to ask him to move his car. His wife said she would tell him and I assumed he would do so right away.

After waiting for 10 minutes, he didn't come down. So I went up again and knocked on his door, only to have him coming out minutes later and shouted at me. He said he was busy bathing his kids and couldn't I have waited till he's done.

I would have waited if he had told me earlier. It's funny that instead of apologising, he turned around and threaten to beat me up eventhough I asked him politely.

Still, he refused to move his car. I didn't want any trouble so I let it go and drove out to park a distance away.

Around middle of that night, he stood outside my door and shouted abuse and threats. I called the cops and they asked me to lodge a report. I was in two minds over it so I didn't. The next morning when I was leaving for work, there he was standing outside his place staring really hard at me and looking to pick a fight.

I ignored him and went straight to the police station. They wanted to call him in but I said hold on first. I wasn't sure whether that would make matter worse if he was just threatening me in the heat of the moment. But on the other hand, what if he intends to carry out his threat?

But God is good. He has been speaking to me these few days.

When I felt so unsettled and could not understand this man's behaviour and why this has to happen.

God said to me in Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." and Luke 23:34 "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing"

When I felt worried after been told that he could really harm me.

God said to me in Psalm 34: 7 "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him and he delivers them."

When I kept thinking of the incident and my anger grew.

God said to me in Luke 6: 27-28 "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies , do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you"

When I wanted to go over to talk to this man again.

God said to me in Proverbs 9: 7-8 "Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult; whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse. Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you"

This morning when I still felt upset for being wronged.

God said to me in Proverbs 11: 5 "The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight way for them, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness"

Phew, what a long post! If you're still reading at this point, thank you for reading till the end.

Be at peace.

Happy:

Thankful Thursday

LS:

There's so much to be thankful for, even in the form of this email from my boss. It sure gave me quite a chuckle and help me to stay above water, especially when I'm stressed out with year end and what not.

Psalm 23
(For the Work Place)

The Lord is my real boss, and I shall not want.
He gives me peace, when chaos is all around me.
He gently reminds me to pray and do all things without
murmuring and complaining.

He reminds me that He is my source and not my job.
He restores my sanity everyday and guides my decisions
that I might honor Him in all that I do.

Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mails, system
crashes, unrealistic deadlines, budget cutbacks, gossiping
co-workers, discriminating supervisors and an aging body
that doesn't cooperate every morning, I still will not stop---
for He is with me! His presence, His peace, and His power
will see me through.

He raises me up, even when they fail to promote me.
He claims me as His own, even when the company threatens
to let me go. His Faithfulness and love is better than any bonus cheque

His retirement plan beats any 401k there is!
When it's all said and done, I'll be working for Him a whole lot longer
and for that

I BLESS HIS NAME!!!!!!
