Thankful Thursday

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it (Hebrews 13:2)

Today we are thankful for two little school girls' cheerful greetings that started off our day cheerfully too.

Happy's version:

I was out in the garden with LS when these two little girls walking by stopped and called out to me.

Little Girl 1 went "Hi" and Little Girl 2 went "Woof".

Both of them kept repeating the same words much to my (and LS') amusement.

They probably don't know that I understand human language just fine. But both of them were doing pretty well trying to speak my lingo and being an interpreter.

I was so tempted to bark back but LS was just next to me. Usually she's not amused by my barking at passers-by.

To my amazement, she said "Go on Happy, say hi. It's only polite".

I don't need telling twice for sure. So I barked a single "woof" and the two girls giggled happily and dashed off.

It's nice to receive friendly greetings from strangers, isn't it?

Have a good day everyone!

Sometimes all it takes is a kind woof from a stranger to make your day.

This was precious Happy. That is one of my favorite verses. Isn't it nice that most little girls love dogs? A little neighbor girl comes by and plays with our chihuahuas sometimes. Fun!

That is a sweet story. Thanks for stopping by and the sweet comments and prayers for my sister.

My sweet dog has had to have 2 surgeries on his elbow since Feb. 2 and I took him in today for our 8 week x-ray and checkup. He is healing wonderfully.

Thought I'd give you my doggie update since your post was on doggies.

I usually will observe the passerby by listening to their footsteps. My roommates will go crazy at barking at anyone who walks by our fence. I'm glad you were nice in greeting the girls!
