Thankful Thursday

One of the setbacks of living in the hot climate is that a lot of pesky insects love it too. Especially the mosquitoes. We sure get plenty of them all year round.

So I was pleasantly surprised when a friend got me this gadget. It's an insect trap. And it really works!

As much as I appreciate this gadget, it's the thoughtfulness of the friend that I appreciate the most.

It's the thoughts that count the most. Very true indeed! That's a lot to be thankful for.

Happy:

I'm thankful for the insect trap too. With the gadget around :

I get less sprayed on with the neem and citronella repellant LS uses on me.

I get less shrieked at for trying to rub it off on LS, the furniture, the rugs and umm...the walls too.

I really, really dislike the repellant smell. It doesn't matter that LS said it's for my own good. I just want to be a fragrance free dog.

Do you have this problem with your humans? Or are you a walking bouquet of floral or citrus smell as well?

What are you thankful for? Hope everyone is having a thankful time too.

Thank you Lynn, for hosting Thankful Thursday.

We're participating in Dogs on Thursday too!

I love naps, not nappies!

Weekends sure don't last, do they? How was your weekend?

Thanks everyone for being so understanding. They really helped in getting me out in time for the weekend. Only to find out that it's the time of the year again. Oh no!

Remember this?

Luckily this time around LS didn't whip out her camera for another snapshot.

LS, I love naps, not nappies!
Do you think we have a communication problem?

LS says I have a serious problem. LS says I need help.

It always happen when I'm bored...

That's when I hear the voices...

Since I always listen to both...

Poo near the door...

So it always end like this...

Do you think I have a problem? Do I need help?

Hopefully I'll be out in time for the weekend.

Have a good weekend everybody!

To Be a Dog Mom

Here's a little tribute (albeit one day late hee...) to all doggie moms out there. We know you would've read this before but still, we couldn't resist posting it again hee...

Before I Was a Dog Mom

Before I was a Dog Mom........

...I cleaned my house everyday, I never tripped over toys, stuffies, chewies, or invited neighbour's dog over to play.

...I didn't worry if my plants, cleansers, plastic bags, toilet paper, soap, or deodorant were poisonous or dangerous.

...I had never been peed on, pooped on, drooled on, chewed on, or pinched by puppy teeth.

...I made and enjoyed hot meals...alone.

...I had unstained, unfurred, clothes, and quiet conversations on the phone, even if the doorbell rang.

...I had complete control of my thoughts, body and mind.

...I slept all night without sharing the covers or my pillow.

...I never looked into big, soulful eyes and cried. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop a hurt. I never knew something so furry and four-legged could affect my heart so deeply.

...I had never held a sleeping puppy just because I couldn't put it down.

...I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was well.

...I didn't know how warm it feels inside to feed a hungry puppy.

...I didn't know something so small could make me feel so important.

...I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment, or the satisfaction of being a...Dog Mom.
