Rain, rain and sun! A rainbow in the sky!

Funny as it sounds, rainbows always appear when I go through life's storms.

So it was in recent time when I caught sight of a rainbow from my kitchen window one evening. It's yet another unusual looking rainbow. A mere fragment next to the setting sun, just after a heavy downpour.

A coincidence? But there is no coincidence where God is concerned, is it? No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting. I'm thankful for that.

I'm also thankful for skywatching. Gazing at all the amazing pictures brings such therapy to the weary soul. A gallery of nature at its best!

Rainbows appear after might storms
When things look their worst
Just when the sky is darkest grey
Out of Heavens does a rainbow burst.

A Happy Dog

As LS is thankful for rainbow after the rain, so I am thankful for walkies after the rain.

What about you?

Hi Happy,
Our mom wants to share with LS that she read that when you see a rainbow, especially when you are going through a tough time, it's a sign from your guardian angels to let you know that he/she is ny your side. :)
Looks like it's a sign from LS's guardian angels...

Oh, I love this post, Serendipity! So true. Thank you for writing it & reminding us to look for the rainbows. To see the glass half full instead of half empty. To think positively as I normally do but even positive people need reminders.

Rainbows are always special, even just a fragment. Double rainbows are extra special but I'd settle for capturing a glimpse of a fraction of one!

You know, people often talk of coincidence. What if we called coincidence "serendipity" instead, and if that serendipity were a nod from God? We only have to be willing to keep our hearts open and accept the good that comes our way.
Sweet blessings to you.

HI! I did the eenie-meenie-miney-mo thing to pick the first SWF post I was going to check out. How cool that I got yours.

Every night for the first two years after we adopted her at age 11 I sang The Rainbow Song to my daughter so she could go to sleep. Tonight, 7 years later, we are at a hotel for what will likely be our last night together for a long time. I'd like nothing more than to sing to her one more time, but she's 18-1/2 now and won't let me sing to her anymore.

So what's the big deal with me being here? Combine your photo and the fact that at the same time I pulled it up Hubby flipped the TV channel and the Wizard of Oz is on, AND at that moment she looked at me and smiled for the first time all day (week?) let God show me that in her heart she does still see the rainbows. And that we are going to be OK. At least that's what I choose to believe is the reason I ended up here at this moment.

Anyway, sorry for hijacking your comments. I just wanted you to know that your photo worked a small miracle in my heart. Thank you for sharing it.
