Thankful Thursday

Hosted by Iris

When my path was drenched with cream and
the rock poured out for me streams of olive oil
Job 29:6

LS:

Have you ever had those days when you are so busy with hardly any time to cook, yet at the same time you are so tired of take outs? Of late it has been like this for me. Desperation is the mother of invention. In my case, no invention but desperate enough to check out some simple recipes which I think I should be able to handle LOL. I've never thought I'd actually cook this dish as I've always ordered them at the restaurant.

So, this week I'm thankful for the person who created the recipe for Spaghetti Aglio-Olio. I don't know who that is (was) but I'm very thankful for the recipe. Fast, easy and yummy. It's certainly a heaven sent recipe for a dummy cook like me LOL!

I'm also thankful for olive oil. No, this is not all about food LOL. Besides for cooking, olive oil is good for our skin and hair, etc. Ever since I've started using it on Happy's hair, my time spent on grooming her has been greatly reduced. Plus, no more matting!

Happy:

I'm thankful for spaghetti too. Yummy! I'm supposed to be thankful for olive oil too? But I don't like the smell! Ok...ok...I'm thankful for olive oil because I don't have to endure so much grooming time after using it (phew!)

LS said my hair looks better with olive oil

These pictures were taken a while back when my hair was longer. Since then LS has cut it really short. I'm thankful for shorter hair too. Even lesser grooming time!

Although I'd very much prefer to look like this.

And especially like this!!!

Excuse my drooly face. It was very hot at that time. I even drooled on LS' jeans hehe...The sweet and dainty friend next to me is Beau. Some said we look like each other although LS said I look more like a ruffian. Do I?

Hope everyone is having a thankful time too.

Recently we came across Dogs on Thursday where a group of dog lovers blog about their dogs every Thursday. Rather different from most of us doggies where we blog about ourselves almost all the time. But still, it's always interesting to read about us from the human's version, don't you think? Do feel free to visit them and participate.

You might be a bit of a ruffian Happy but that's just your personality coming through. Rosie is especially admiring of it, as she's a bit of one too. First the baby bunny massacre, then standing up to the woodchuck, and yesterday she went after a squirrel who dared to walk across the top of our porch - what a rucus Rosie made so we'd come look.

Happy,

My mom wanted spaghetti so bad on Sunday. We have a Williams Sonoma outlet near us and she went and bought a jar of tomato basil sauce there and some Angus meatballs at BJ's and some sweet Italian sausages and cooked it all up in no time. It was delicious!!!! She says she's gonna do it again this weekend. I got to have a little of the pasta. maybe I'll get more next time!!

Pedro

pee ess - Isn't it funny to think that some people only blog about their pets ONE day a week???? And, I can believe how long your hair was!!!

My Mama and Daddy are not married yet, so they do not live together, and I live with Daddy. Daddy does not cook, so he eats a lot of take outs. Those recipes sound yummy, but Daddy will not lift a finger...he may get hurt in the kitchen!

Your long hair looks very pretty! Its too hot here for me to ever endure such a coat. Luckily I have fur and not hair!

Hugs,
