LS:
There's so much to be thankful for, even in the form of this email from my boss. It sure gave me quite a chuckle and help me to stay above water, especially when I'm stressed out with year end and what not.
Psalm 23
(For the Work Place)
The Lord is my real boss, and I shall not want.
He gives me peace, when chaos is all around me.
He gently reminds me to pray and do all things without
murmuring and complaining.
He reminds me that He is my source and not my job.
He restores my sanity everyday and guides my decisions
that I might honor Him in all that I do.
Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mails, system
crashes, unrealistic deadlines, budget cutbacks, gossiping
co-workers, discriminating supervisors and an aging body
that doesn't cooperate every morning, I still will not stop---
for He is with me! His presence, His peace, and His power
will see me through.
He raises me up, even when they fail to promote me.
He claims me as His own, even when the company threatens
to let me go. His Faithfulness and love is better than any bonus cheque
His retirement plan beats any 401k there is!
When it's all said and done, I'll be working for Him a whole lot longer and for that
I BLESS HIS NAME!!!!!!

I love this! I had seen it before. I think I kept a copy in my pile of paperwork in my paper holders. When I clear out old stuff, I re-find it usually when needed. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Yes, Serendipity I did have a great time & it is great to have found a sister in my SIL Peggy. I thought about what you said about being wistful. Being an only child I was probably more like that when I was younger wishing for a younger brother or sister to play with. I learned it was ok to be by myself. My son has not learned this yet. I feel him. Yes, God did indeed send one of His angels to my Daddy. We are thankful he is ok too. Hope you have a blessed weekend as well.
Enjoyed your Thankful Thursday blog. I could use it at work pretty much daily! :)
