Flower Power

No, this is not about the hippies' 70s peace movement. This is about LS goofing off from work...for this.

Floria show

Unfortunately she chose the wrong day to goof off hahaha. The whole place was swarmed with preschool kids. A few hurried snapshots and that ended her time there. Something about camera flashes, chattering and clowns made it hard to connect with nature hehehe.

The whole place was covered with different kinds of flowers and plants. Although the theme was heliconias, the highlight seemed to be on orchids.

In case you're wondering what was I doing at that time...

LS could've been nice enough to take me along,

couldn't she?

How was your weekend?

What a glorious show. It must be summer, too, so how hot was it at the show?

Also, thanks a million for the comment about Happy's safe recovery from a torn ligament. Were you blogging at the time? If you were, I'll go back and read about it.

If not, how long did you have to crate Happy? And what was your recovery routine? Sorry about all the questions, but I'm very excited to read about a successful outcome. My spirits are rising.

Blessings LS & Happy,

What a glorious display of flowers & beauty!!! You too Happy! You really need to be content staying home once & awhile. Hope LS was able to enjoy the ORCHIDS without too many little feet blocking the view. Beautiful photos!

I had been home in MN and now back in MX and finally got hooked up to internet again but it's not that great! Very hot here. Only brought 4 of my 6 back to MX. Lucky & Chispa stayed behind in MN with Tano (not part of their family).
It was some trip with 6 of them in a van & van trouble going but none coming back the 2,700 miles. Glad to be inside in AC enjoying blogs & catching up.

Don't worry Happy, you'll get other chances to go out with LS! Love you both!!!

Hi Parlance,

Have not started blogging at that time. She was on anti-inflammatory med for 4 weeks. Think I kept her confined to an enclosed area for 8 weeks or so. Keeping her in her crate at night wasn't a problem as she's used to sleeping in her crate.

Think it's easier if I reply at your blog :-)

Happy, I think you might not have enjoyed all the crowds and the noise. So much nicer to wait quietly at home for LS to come back and make a fuss of you.
I'm so pleased to hear you have your tail - every dog needs one!

Hi, Serendipity
thanks for coming over to enquire about Penny. As i said over there, she's going to need a proper check-up at the vet, but our own vet is overseas so we'd rather rest her and wait, as in general she doesn't seem to be in pain. But how can we tell???

I hope it's worth the wait. As I said before, it's really encouraging to know Happy had a good outcome.

Happy,
I agree you should have been allowed to go to the flower show. Some dawg needed to pee all over those flowers, right??

If you buy flowers on Mother's Day this year, do not believe for a moment to Amanda Camacho. Camacho, a single parent with long hair short, black, and plantations of cloves, a suburb of Bogota, Colombia, a country the United States provides 60 percent of its fresh cut flowers.
