101 Baby Handling Tips for Dogs

Recently LS talked about attending a baby full moon. It's a customary celebration of a baby turned 1 month old. As usual, I wanted to tag along. But LS said I'm no good with babies as I'd probably make them cry.

Ok, I decided to check online for tips on handling babies. Found one with instructions on how to hug a baby properly. Thought it'd be great to share it here with everyone too.

Instructions for proper baby hugging:

1. Spy a baby

2. Be sure that the object you spied was indeed a baby by employing classic sniffing techniques. If you smell baby powder and the wonderful aroma of wet diapers, this is indeed a baby.

3. Next, you need to make the baby lie flat before actually beginning the hugging process.

##Note: The added slober should help in future steps by making the 'paw slide' easier

4. The 'paw slide'. Simply slide paws around baby and prepare for possible close-up

5. Finally, if a camera is present, you will need to execute the difficult and patented 'hug, smile and lean' so as to achieve the best photo quality.

Dogs, if this is properly done, it will secure you a warm, dry, climate-controlled environment for the rest of your life.

After all the intensive lessons and if you still fail to get near a baby, proceed to the next course.

It does look like that way, doesn't it? Hmm...maybe they should've used a much smaller dog as the instructor.

I don't think I'd be allowed to hug the twins or Mikey like that. But I'll give it a go.

Ohhh, mama would be really unhappy if any of us peed on the computer! Then she wouldn't be able to blog anymore and we'd be sad, so I guess we better not get any ideas!

I think this is how Mummy say's I should show dominance to submissive dogs and puppies when socialising (and not bite the head or ear hard).
What a great tip, not sure if anyone would let me near a dummy sucker though.
Looks like the dog tickled that dummy sucker too, it was laughing!
Love 'n' snuffs
