Thankful Thursday

Hosted with grace by Iris

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

LS:

This week I'm thankful for some sunshine, even if it's just for a day. The weather has been rather wet lately, so that has been rather hard on my laundry. After re-doing the same loads of laundry for the 3rd time in a row, I started talking to myself. Ok, muttering was more like it LOL! I distinctively remembered asking for just half a day of sunshine, that's all. But I received more than that. A full day of sunshine and strong breeze throughout the whole day! Yes, my laundry was happily basking in the hot sun and strong breeze. Nothing beats the smell of sun crisp laundry, don't you think?

Happy :

I'm thankful for some sunshine too! Although I'd very much prefer cooler weather...especially in our hot tropical climate...and I'm all hair...I'm thankful I get to go for my walk, even if it's a short one. We doggies certainly live for our walks, don't we?

Hope everyone is having a thankful time!

Next to thankfulness, we would like to thank our dear friends here:

Our dear friend Denise, has given us a lovely award! Thank you so much, Denise! We are truly honoured and blessed to have your friendship too!

As this is an Autumn Friends Award, we would like to pass this on to all our friends. We would've liked to list everyone's name here but that would make this a very long post. So, we'll be very happy if everyone do the honour of accepting it. Thank you for being our friend!

And, we would like to thank Rusty and mom for making Happy a member of Rusty's Squirrel Patrol squad. Although we've not seen any squirrels around so far, Happy would want to be on standby just in case. Do drop by at Rusty's for a certificate too if anyone would like to join the squad.

We like the KHOOL sunshine days - NOT the warm ones!

OH SKWHIRRELS!!!

I love to taunt 'em - if only their tails were a touch longer, I would have had me one or two or three by now!

Well, how cute is this Thankful post?! I'm thankful for warm days too. I'm cold-natured, and I don't like it when it even gets cooler, let alone cold. I have no problems with warm or hot weather. As far as sun-soaked laundry, I agree with you, nothing is better!! I wish I had a clothesline where I live to hang mine out too. I did sometimes as a little girl, and I miss it.

Have a good rest of the day!

I love sunshine. It's a good thing. We get lots of it here in the desert. I love the smell of clothes dried outside on a line, but throwing them in the dryer is sure handy. I like that too.
Happy Thankful Thursday.

It is the little things that mean far more, isn't it? I recently asked the Lord for a neat picture of clouds on the way back from Indiana Labor Day weekend and I got a heart cloud! How awesome was that? I will be posting it tomorrow for my Sky Watch Friday post. So come back by to have a look.

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.

Reading about your prayer for sunshine to dry your laundry reminded me of my wedding day in January. It was raining the entire week before the wedding, but on the day of the wedding we had sunshine, and the day after the wedding it began raining again for a week!

I also love to dry my laundry on the clothesline...such a wonderful fragrance :)

What part of the country are you in? We are in north Texas and are getting our second wave of hurricane refugees now. Pray that the storms don't cause any damage to people or their animals! Thanks! Buddy loves chasing squirrels UP the tree! He can climb to the bottom branch of our oak tree and is so proud of that.

Hi there!
Glad you got to do your washing. We have had a lot of sun lately and I was happy to wake up to the sound of a light drizzle this morning, but it's lunch time now and the sun is out! I think I'll go do some washing too ;)

Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. Mom has had the surgery and dad said all is fine, she will be sleeping over tonight though. Thank you for your prayers!

Have a fantastic Friday!!

We're having just the opposite problem. All sunshine and no rain for well over a month, so we're in a drought situation. But we're supposed to finally be getting rain this weekend and next week thanks to Hurricane Ike once it makes landfall. That has to be frustrating to do laundry 3 times waiting for good weather to dry it. We'll send you some of ours.

Happy, I know just what you mean about hair as I have been blessed with about 3 times the norm but mine is all on my head. No air can penetrate when out in this heat.
Also, Smokey is on patrol, though only keeping watch since he doesn't go outdoors. He loves keeping an eye on the pesky squirrels. We gave them their own feeder to hopefully keep them off the one for birds. They can only climb all over it, not get much food.
Thanks for stopping by my house.

I'm touched when I read the story how you two met in the previous post.
"Nothing beats the smell of sun crisp laundry", I couldn't agree more but my mom said nothing beats the smell of my hair after a long scrubbing bath.
Who is right?
Cheers!

Thanks for the barkday wish, it meant a lot to me.

My Mama's thankful right now because LS reminded her that there's a load of laundry to dry in the machine. She forgot about it and if she wasn't reminded, then Papa wouldn't have his favourite clean shirt for dinner and he'd be upset... so thanks, LS!

It's the little things, right?
