Thankful Thursday

Hosted by Iris

LS:

I work in Federal Territory. This means that I don't get as many public holidays as the rest of the states in my country. Yesterday was one of them. It's hard to be in full gear for work on days like this especially when I live in a state that has a public holiday but work in another state that don't. Just in case you don't quite know what I'm rambling about LOL, my house and workplace are bordering each other across two states.

But I'm thankful for a good boss though. On every public holiday like this, he'd let me go in to work late and then give me half a day or whole day off. So yesterday I found myself clocking in at 10am and clocking out at 1pm. I'm always thankful for a break in the middle of the week. It can be really rejuvenating.

Happy:

I'm thankful that LS get to spend some extra time with me yesterday. I have to admit I was rather puzzled that she was still pottering around at home at 9am and having a leisurely breakfast. Not that I complain though as I get to share her breakfast. And then she came home when I was just about to have my afternoon siesta.

I'm also thankful for our friends who gave fantastic feedbacks on our meals. That made LS improved my menu somewhat although it's nothing like the pictures below.

(pictures courtesy of err...unknown. I found it on google)

Still, roast chicken mixed with kibbles is a good improvement for a start! Naturally I'd have to follow Rambo's style of picking out all the chicken and leaving the kibbles behind hehe...So I'm thankful for yesterday's dinner of roast chicken and kibbles. May today's dinner be better than yesterday's! Slurp...slurp...What are you having for dinner?

Hope everyone is having a thankful week too.

So, your post gave me a quick giggle this morning. I would never have thought of writing from my dog's perspective. I am sure it would be filled with resentment for the rank she now holds...2 little girls will do that, you know. Well, it was fun stopping by.

Happy,

I showed my mom Rambo's chicken and kibble too and she kinda laughed at me... I can't complain too much though. If you check out my blog today my mom is accusing me of being a little overweight. While she was away she thinks my dad gave me too many treats. I'm really glad she's home but I hope the treat party isn't over!! Thanks for visiting with us during our difficult time.

Pumpkin bread is not hard to make at all...there is a mix on the baking aisle by the brownies and such. You just have to add water, oil, and eggs. Of course there are more "homemade" versions, but I didn't have time for that. It tastes delicious and as far as I can tell, know one knows the difference.

Working for many years in nursing I seemed to work all the holidays. I remember thinking it would be nice to be home so I know how you feel. It's nice that you have a kind boss willing to let you go at least for part of the day. I enjoyed reading your post. Even though it's Friday, Happy Thursday belated. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I can't pick out stuff from my kibbles anymore because Mama is a super squisher now. Every piece of kibble has minced beef stuck to it so I lick my bowl clean now. MMMMM.

I wish my Mama had a nice boss like your Mama does -- hope he doesn't read this!!
