Cats in the cradle

LS came home from work yesterday smelling different. When I started giving her an all over sniff, I saw a guilty look on her face. After a few more sniffs and long stares, she caved in and confessed.

Her confession?

Can you see the cat and her two newborn kittens?

LS said she went to work yesterday and came across this cat and her kittens right outside her office entrance. The cat must have given birth over the weekend as she remembered seeing the cat still heavily pregnant last Friday when she left her workplace.

LS said it's not her fault the cat chose her delivery room just outside her office. She's still wondering how the cat managed to get into the office building.

LS took some food and water for the cat but the cat didn't touch them at all. Will she be all right?

This morning when LS went in to work, the cat and kittens are still there. So she gave the cat some milk. She was quite relieved that the cat drank some of the milk.

Ok, I guess I forgive LS...As long as she doesn't bring them home and upset the status quo...How long do you think the cat is planning to stay at the maternity ward?

Hi Happy
The mommy cat must feel safe around LS to have her babies right out in the open like that. She just needs LS's help for a while, then everthing will go back to normal.
See you soon.

Happy, it is nice of your mom to take care of that poor momma cat and her babies. No need to worry about anything, you will always be first in Ls's heart! They are cute.

You can't blame LS for having a soft heart. If she brings those cats home you'll have three new 'stuffies' to pay with. That could be fun.

Those kittens are so cute. I don't know how you resist not keeping them.

They know/sense a good, safe place. Pretty clever.

Hello Happy,
What a great name you have! It must make LS happy just saying your name. Although, I bet you make her happy anyway.
The cat is lucky to have LS giving her milk.

What is it with these humans and C-A-T-S! My human let one live with us simply 'cause she walked into our house...The human and god human say that the cat adopted them, but I say that I'm the only dog in a house of 3 C-A-T-S now!

Crazy, no!?

Love you Happy! You are always that...Happy! Heheheh!

Dear Happy,
we understand your worries. Kittens and their mum are cute but we all know how sneaky they can be, getting under your mum skin in no time. We'll be tuned in for some more kitty news.

Oh LS...how could you...that mama is so beautiful...where is she going to live? Happy don't you worry...LS loves you, but you better be thankful for ALL you have & behave yourself...because cats & kittens can be so cute & cozy & cuddly and they take care of their own potty...Better get use to the smell...Happy Thanksgiving & save some turkey for me! Chimi...the rest all want ham or beef...but we are all so thankful for you & your friendship & your Serendipity Park that brings me a SMILE each visit!
Happy...they say it's better to give then receive...so I think that means you better start thanking LS!
Love you & thanks for your visit,

Ooh - I must show my human, Paul, this photo...he's a sucker for kittens! If he was near you, he'd be rushing over to take them home! actually, I love kittens too - I love all cats, although I am also quite scared of them because they can make scary hissing noises and scratch me! I always avoid my sister, Lemon, when she is in a bad mood (which is a LOT of the time!)

Your human is so kind and good! Maybe she could try giving the mother cat some tinned catfood? I heard that actually cows milk is too rich for many cats and can give them diarrhoea so it is often not very good for them...maybe better to give some food and water?

Anyway, good luck to LS with them!

Honey the Great Dane
